Attorney Michael S. Tilton Michael S. Tilton is an associate with Hastings Law Firm, P.C. He was born at Clark Air Force Base, Philippines, where his father served in the United States Air Force and his mother was a teacher. From the Philippines, Michael’s family moved to California and Germany before settling down in San Antonio, Texas. Michael received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, double majoring in Political Science and Psychology while he worked two jobs. He attended the University of Houston Law Center where he served on the Board of Advocates and was a member of the Moot Court Team.

While in law school, Michael worked at a firm specializing in medical malpractice defense. Through tough experiences and personal beliefs, Michael decided upon graduation that he wanted to assist those people who needed the most help – those who have been seriously injured through no fault of their own. Immediately upon graduation, Michael accepted a position with a prominent, long-established plaintiff’s firm in Houston. There, Michael worked on a broad spectrum of cases, including medical malpractice, products liability, construction accidents, 18-wheeler injuries, oil and gas, and toxic torts.

Impressed with Tommy Hastings’ aggressive lawyering and deep connection with his clients, Michael joined Hastings Law Firm, P.C. in 2007. He is proud to represent those injured by the negligent acts of others and is relentless in seeking justice for his clients.

An injustice should never be ignored, and pain should not be forgotten. I will always fight to remind those that are responsible that justice always prevails.

Michael is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyer’s Association, Houston Bar Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association. In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing softball, is a member of an award-winning barbecue cook-off team, and attends St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
